Brothers of Carmel Carmelite Friars.

Nature of request
The petitioners make three requests:1) They request a justice to inquire into, and provide a remedy for, the assaults and injuries sustained by their brothers in their Oxford house.2) They request the King's letters of request to the Prior and convent of the monks of Coventry, that they might be able to live lawfully in that town.3) They ask that, notwithstanding the King's statute, they might be able to have somewhere to live in Cornwall.
Nature of endorsement
The King does not grant them a habitation in Cornwall.Nor does he grant a justice, until he has had other counsel on this matter.
