Nature of request
Copy of a charter of William, Earl Warenne, granting the nuns of Chesthunt 10 loads of wheat annually from his manor of High Roding in Essex, with instructions to the reeve and servants of the manor to give them this sum.].
Nature of endorsement
[Endorsement to SC 8/99/4944] The escheator is to be ordered by writ of Chancery to inquire if she was in seisin in the time of the Earl. And if so, it is to be paid for the time of the King, and an allowance is to be made to the Escheator on his account.

Formerly attached to SC 8/99/4944, which is datable to 1304-1306. Presumably High Roding rather than any of the other nearby villages, as this was the manor held by the Warennes.
