Prioress and nuns of Cheshunt.

Nature of request
The Prioress and nuns of Cheshunt state that since the death of John, Earl Warenne, they have not received the annual gift of wheat granted to them by his ancestors. They ask that this might be paid to them while the lands are in the King's hand during the minority of the heir.
Nature of endorsement
[None on SC 8/99/4944: this endorsement on SC 8/99/4947] The Escheator is to be ordered by writ of Chancery to inquire [if they] were in seisin in the time of the Earl. And if so, it is to be paid for the time of the King, and an allowance is to be made to the Escheator on his account.
