Nature of request
Hugh de Cressi, parson of the church of Greasley, states that, as of the right of his church, he was in possession of all manner of tithes from a vill called Willey, which is of the King's ancient demesne, disafforested, and which contains certain new assarts from which he received the tithes until the King granted them to the Prior of Felley at the last parliament, at the quinzaine of Candlemas. Hugh asks the King to speak his grace and his will on the matter.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ of Chancery to the justices to inquire into what estate that rector had in the site before it was assarted, and he is to inform the King on this at the next parliament etc.
