Nature of request
The people of the Cinque Ports request the King's charters of pardon for Thomas de Estwell, John his brother, John de Rumfeld, Henry Hikeman, Richard Girdebaner, Walter le Barber, Thomas Lovyng, William Brounyng and Robert Bate, in recompense for their good service, for the felonies and trespasses for which they were indicted before Roger Brabazon and his companions; as Edward I had granted them a pardon, but because he died immediately afterwards it was never carried out.
