Alan de Cobeldyk, keeper of forfeited lands in Lincolnshire, makes two requests:1) He asks that he might be excused from making a valuation of the castles, lands and tenements in his county, as he has to hold thirty courts and more in the county, and does not have time to do this as well.2) He asks that a receiver might be ordained in the county to receive the arrears and monies arising there, as the King will suffer great losses if this is not done.
