William Comyn states that the King's lands in Leinster are lying waste and bring him little or no profit, and many of them are occupied by the King's Irish felons and enemies. He asks that he might hold them at farm, for himself and his heirs, in recompense for his service against the Irish and the Scots, and his losses in that service.
