Nature of request
Eleanor, widow of William de Chyshull, states that her husband was killed by Edmund de Duream, Simon [de] Stanford and John Esmondeshunte of Durham, and that after the inquest his friends could not have his body to bury him at Bartlow with his ancestors, because of Edmund, Simon and John; nor did they dare to sue [concerning the death] of the aforesaid William, because of their threats. She requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
She is to have a writ of oyer et terminer, for herself or for the King; and strict and wise justices are to be appointed.

Note
Dated on the guard to '? c. 1330' without further explanation. This date does, however, seem compatible with the hand, and the petitioner asks for justice for the sake of the King's father, which might suggest a date near the start of the reign of Edward III.
