Nature of request
Simon de Cheltenham and Sibyl his wife state that an agreement they had made about certain lands in Gloucestershire with Grimbald Pauncefot and Sibyl his wife fell apart after Grimbald's death, when Sibyl threw them out of the lands they were to have by the agreement, while keeping the lands she and her husband were to have. She is also retaining some money and goods she should have paid them. They request that this be inquired into, as they can have no remedy in Chancery.
Nature of endorsement
In Chancery to claim their debt, and if an objection is raised against the payment contained in the charter, as good faith requires, it is to be answered as an exception that no payment has been made except for the 11 marks contained in this petition.
