Nature of request
William de Chevereston states that when he was Sheriff of Devon he was removed from his bailiwick for three-quarters of the year by Roger de Mortimer, so that he could not hold his tourn, and lost the greater part of the profit of his bailiwick. Nevertheless he has been charged with his full farm in his account. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent before the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, and they are to be ordered that, when they have heard William's complaint, they are to do justice to him.

Note
William de Chevereston was Sheriff of Devon from 19 February to 5 November 1328. The petition would however seem to date from after the fall of Roger de Mortimer in 1330.
