Nature of request
John de Colleye, clerk, states that he was presented by the Pope to a prebend belonging to the chapel of Penkridge, and in the gift of the Archbishop of Dublin, and that he is being threatened by various people of the country because he does not have the King's confirmation. He requests a writ of the privy seal to the Chancellor to give him a confirmation, as was granted to Thomas Michel in a similar case, and also a writ to the Sheriff to aid and maintain him in his possession.
