William de Cloune, burgess of Leicester, states that when the King came to Leicester at Christmas in his second year, John de Brideshale and his men took ale from him for the King's use, and that at the King's last coming there, he asked John for payment for this ale: but John would not pay him. He requests an allowance for this.
