- Denise, widow of Alexander de Cheverel, states that she brought a writ of dower against Richard Lovel, demanding a third of the manor of Wynf[ord Eagle, Dorset], but that he has produced a charter of the King, and so the justices will not proceed to judgment without consulting the King. She asks the King [to take] the manor into his hand and to assign her dower to her, or that common justice might be done to her, and she might have a writ to the justices to proceed to judgment.
