- Roger, Bishop of Chester, asks that a sum of money owed to him by the King's father for corn bought from him when he was Archdeacon of Richmond, might be allowed against the sum he owes the King for the arrears of the subsidy of 5d in the mark, and that, as he cannot levy the remainder of this sum because of the number of free chapels in his diocese, he might be discharged of it, taking from him the names of the debtors.
