Nature of request
John de Bydard, master of the ship 'Seint Jak' of Bayonne, and the other mariners of the ship state that when their ship was in the port of Sandwich, John Boys, Hikeman de la Pole, and Michael Broun took from the ship its goods and merchandise, together with it gear and equipment, against their will. The King ordered Bartholomew de Burgherssh, Admiral of the Cinq Ports, to take these goods into his hands for a certain reason, and afterwards ordered him to restore them to them; but they have not yet received anything. They request a swift remedy.

Dated to 1338 by Rot. Parl. vol. II p.100b (no. 11). CCR 1337-9 p.220 is dated 10 December 1337, and would seem to be the earlier order that was not acted upon. CCR 1337-9 p.204 is dated 5 November 1337, and p.275 is also dated then.
