Nature of request
Robert Bully states that John de Badmynton has attempted to expel him from the church of Brinkworth, and to have himself presented, by means of false claims and suggestions. He asks that, as he has the provision of the court of Rome to this benefice, the King's ratification of that provision and his estate might hold good, notwithstanding the revocation of that ratification made at John's suggestion.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to Chancery, and there, when the first presentation has been examined, and also the judgment and the ratification and the revocations, and when the parties have been called and their arguments heard, and when the Chancellor has called to himself the justices and others of the council, he is further to do what justice and reason require, without regard for any person.
