Nature of request
William Bokeland and Thomas Wylde state that they were falsely indicted of high treason at Deptford on the Saturday after the translation of St Thomas the martyr in the King's twenty-fifth year [July 1447], and that although the King has offered them his pardon, they are minded to refuse it, requesting instead that the commons ask the King to declare this false indictment null and void, by authority of parliament.
