Nature of request
Joan Burstall states that her father, John Burstall, and Cecily his wife purchased the manor of East Hall in Kent, for themselves and John's heirs, but that after John's death, Alice Perrers forced Cecily to sell the manor to her, and never paid her the full price. She asks to be reinstated in this manor.

People mentioned
John Burstall, citizen of London, father of petitioner
Cecily [Burstall], wife of John Burstall

Edward [III], King of England.
Note
Like other petitions against Alice Perrers, it is likely that this is datable to the parliament of October 1378 on the basis of annotations on SC 8/94/4691 and SC 8/148/7363, which refer specifically to petitions against Alice in that parliament. The manor in question in this petition had changed hands by January 1379: CPR 1377-81, p. 313.
