Juliana Box of London states that at the Nativity of St John the Baptist in the King's fourteenth year John de Hanstede and Hamo de Chiggewelle, Mayor of London, ordered her, on behalf of the King, to lend John de Weston and his wife her houses by the Tower of London until the following Michaelmas, but that John, by collusion between him and William Box, her son, and by his great lordship, withheld them, and has continued to keep her out ever since: and his power is such that she has never been able to have justice. She requests grace and a remedy.
