Nature of request
The people of Bamburgh state that they have been completely ruined by the Scots, and ask to be pardoned 52 marks that they owe the King for their farm for his fifteenth and sixteenth years, for which they have been distrained by seizure of their farm animals, so that they cannot cultivate their land.
Nature of endorsement
The King has pardoned them of his special grace.
