- The petition complains about the collectors of the custom on wools in Boston and Kingston upon Hull, that they are allowing merchants to go where they please, contrary to the charter of the staple, and sometimes without paying customs. They request a commission to inquire into the truth of this, and that the collectors of customs might be expelled from office, and others appointed in their place.
