Note (Additional information about the record)
- This petition must date from between the battle of Boroughbridge in 1322 and the end of Edward II's reign. It could easily date from c. 1324, the date assigned to many of the petitions in this file, although there does not seem to be much evidence to connect all the petitions transcribed in PRO 31/7/99 with this year. Indeed one, (SC 8/95/4733) seems to date to 1322.
