Roger de Brideport states that the King had granted him, for his service to him and to his father, the office of Crier of Kent, and had ordered him to inquire into whether he could properly give this to him. Now the inquisition has been returned to master Robert de Aylleston, and has found that this can be done without prejudice to anyone. Roger therefore requests the office.

Note
Dated on the guard to '? c. 1324' with no further explanation. This would certainly seem to fit the hand and the French endorsement, but there does not seem to be much evidence to connect all the petitions transcribed in PRO 31/7/99 with this year.
