- The duke requests that it be granted to him and his wife return of writs in the honour of Richmond, and ratify to them all manner of liberties and franchises that John of Gaunt had when he held the earldom.

- The petition is clearly in the reign of Richard II, but the dating on the guard to 1381-1382 seems purely to be on the basis that this is the date ascribed to a number of surrounding petitions.
