Abbot and convent of Bury St Edmunds.

Nature of request
The abbot and convent request that they and John de Pakenham be summoned before the council to show their evidence concerning their rival claims to the manor of Pakenham, and that a writ be commanded to the justices to cease hearing the assize that Pakenham procured.
Nature of endorsement
The king, with the advice of the prelates and lords of parliament has granted to the petitioner a supersedeas of the special assize, and the parties are to be summoned before the council to show their right, claim and evidence, and right is to be done before the council if possible; If right cannot be done then the petitioners should sue at the common law.
