Baketon requests that a declaration be made in parliament for the elect of Bury against the provision to Bronfield made by the pope in the presence of the papal collector, and that the collector be charged to write to the pope on this matter. Baketon has been to Rome to put the case for the elect.

The guard dates this petition to? 1381-1382, though on what basis is not clear. The petition is evidently in the minority of Richard II, though why this should be a matter of debate in 1381-2 is not clear. The abbot at the time seems to have been elected in 1379.
