Bokherst requests that he is able to have recovery of the debt owed to him by Aldeham as the lands of Aldeham came into the hand of the king by Aldeham's forfeiture, and they have since been granted to Fynysien.1)

The petition dates to c. 1322 as the forfeiture of Aldham occurred as a result of the revolt of Thomas of Lancaster, and Pancius de Controne, or Fynysien as he appears in the petition, was granted manors forfeited by Aldham in Somerset and Sussex on 2 July 1322 (CFR 1319-27, p.137).
