The petition is dated to 1307-1322 as the petition has the feel of a petition of Edward II's reign and is endorsed in Latin, suggesting a date before 1322. The petitioner was dead by 1327, as his widow acknowledged a debt on 18 January 1327 (CCR 1323-7, p.660).
