Brendon requests that the abbot of Buckfast be summoned before the king and be charged to surcease all executions against him or any of his tinners concerning their digging of tin at Hawkmoor beside the abbey for which the abbot has sued an assize of novel disseisin, and Brendon is now in prison as a result. He requests that the abbot be charged to allow the tinners to work the mine until the matter has been considered before the council. He requests that Cheyne be ordered to deliver Brendon from prison. He further requests that a writ be sent to the sheriff of Devon to deliver Southdon who is in prison in Devon because of this matter.
