The abbot requests that he may return home to his house and be discharged from the council, for he has had to stay in attendance on the council for two years because of many malicious suits made against him by Brendon and others, as this attendance is to the impoverishment of his house. The suits were made because the abbot sued against them for damage they did to his land at Buckfast.
