- The petition dates to 1308 as the writ ordering the chamberlain to satisfy the petitioner date to 10 February 1308 (Rot. Scot., vol. I, p.62). The petition must date after 12 September 1307 as the copy of letters of Sandale is so dated in its dating clause.
