Nature of request
Botoner requests that he and his servants are discharged to the king of the sums and mainprises as reason demands as Luk stole a certain sum from a sum by Luk, and Stockton and the other servants who then took it back for which they were imprisoned and the sum forfeited, and Botoner found mainprise to answer to the king for the fine for his servants.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be known that this bill [was read] in parliament, and already called there William de Ermyn, treasurer of Calais, and the evidences which he showed, and what he had to say for the king, and the supplicant on this matter, and considering the arguments in the presence of the justices of both benches, it is adjudged that the petitioner has and retains freely his money, and that he and his servants and their mainpernors should not be troubled by the king and his ministers, and they should have writs on this.
