Nature of request
[The petition is very badly damaged and the details are supplied from the duplicate.]1) Botiller requests pardon of the debts that he and his ancestors owe, as he has been put to great cost maintaining the peace and has lost men, horses and armour.2) Botiller requests that he be discharged from rendering the account for lands destroyed in wartime from the time of his ancestors, as the tallies of payments and other things were burnt by felons when he was a minor and they were in the king's hand.3) Botiller requests that he be re-granted the liberty of Tipperary to support him as it was granted to him for life by the king after he was made earl and then subsequently retaken into the king's hand, or that he can have lands and rents elsewhere in allowance of this.4) Botiller requests the grant for life of the prise of wines in Ireland which he and his ancestors had until Lucy's time rendering as much as his ancestors rendered.
