Nature of request
[The petition is badly damaged and very little sense can be made of much of the petition].1) The bailiffs requests remedy for a raid made on the lands of Mortimer by the people of the earl of Arundel from Oswestry . . .2) They further requests remedy for the death of . . . according to the usage of . . .3) The people of Carreghofa request . . .4) The people of Mortimer request remedy as they have been imprisoned . . .1)

To the first article it is orders that they make delivery of those imprisoned . . . according to the custom of those parts.2) To the second article let it be sent to the justices and they should do justice to them.3) To the third article they should hear . . . the king made of various forfeitures after the last war.4) To the fourth article . . . the king to be amended . . . will.
