Note
The petition is clearly in the aftermath of the fall of the earl of Kent in 1330, and an order made to the sheriff of Kent to keep numerous individuals, including the petitioner, in prison to answer for being adherents to the earl was issued on 31 March 1330 (CFR 1327-37, p.169).
