Nature of request
Berlay requests reasonable dower be assigned to her as her husband's manor of Barlow of which he was seised at their espousal has been seized into the king's hand because the reversion of the same manor was to the late earl of Lancaster. She requested dower from the king at Pickering, and he granted that she should have it and ordered the manor to be extended, and the extent is now returned into Chancery.1)

Let the petition be given to the chancellor, and when he has viewed the extent which has been returned on this he should do right.2) Coram rege.
