Burgh requests that he can have the king's licence for the gifts that Mowbray made to him for life of a vaccary with appurtenances at Appletreethwaite and rent from the market of Burton in Lonsdale for the keeping of Mowbray's forest of Mewith as Mowbray granted them to him without the king's licence, and that he can hold them for life according to Mowbray's grant.1)

He should show what he has of the grant in Chancery, and let the truth of this be enquired of, and the chancellor is to do what needs to be done on this.2) Coram rege.
