Nature of request
The petitioners request of their lands so that they can maintain themselves and their families as they were the constables in Bountisborough hundred of St John and Lewer and his men came to their houses and seized their lands and still hold them.
Nature of endorsement
They should find sureties for their bodies to answer to the king if the king wishes to plead against them for anything done against the king, and of the issues of their land if they are adjudged to the king, and they should have a writ to have their lands, goods and chattels if they were taken into the king's hand for this reason.
