Nature of request
[The petition seems to be one of a series of petitions now separated so that the identity of the petitioner is lost]Remedy is requested as merchants and other people are unable to recover their debts and rents from debtors as the bailiffs, ministers and assigns have first call in the king's name.
Nature of endorsement
[On face]This should be enquired of if it pleases [the king].[On dorse, none].
ormed a small file of complaints submitted together (possibly with others), all relating to the ministers of the Keeper of the Channel Islands. SC 8/127/6309 bears an endorsement which appears to refer to 1307-8, and thus presumably the entire file relates to that period.
Note
Dated on the guard to? c. 1315. However, this petition appears to have been written by the same scribe as SC 8/127/6309, which in turn was clearly cut from the same parchment as SC 8/90/4489, and together these appear to have formed a small file of complaints submitted together (possibly with others), all relating to the ministers of the Keeper of the Channel Islands. SC 8/127/6309 bears an endorsement which appears to refer to 1307-8, and thus presumably the entire file relates to that period.
