Nature of request
Assh requests that he be pardoned the remainder of the sum that he owes to the king and which are on demand in the Exchequer, as he mainprised Ponton who was charged with the sum in discharge of Bosoun for woollen cloth taken at Exeter, for which Ponton was subsequently outlawed, and because of this outlawry he is unable to have anything from Ponton, who is now dead, in satisfaction.
