Nature of request
William Irreys ap Griffyth requests, for his service to the King's father in Scotland and elsewhere, a piece of land in Iscoed near Cardigan, which belonged to his kinsman Llewelyn ap Arthen, and which is in the King's hand through Llewelyn's forfeiture.
Nature of endorsement
The Justiciar of Wales is to be ordered to have the land valued, and if he finds that the [value] does not exceed the value of 20s. annually, then he is to have it delivered to the said William for term of his life, paying the valuation in Chancery. And he is to have his charter.

CPR 1330-4 p.233 is dated 5 January 1332, and is clearly the result of this petition. The writ to hold the valuation of the land (SC 8/89/4448) is dated 15 November, 5 Edward III [1331].
