The petitioners state that they were disseised of half of their vill of Nant Lleidiog in Penllyn, which their ancestors held by right of inheritance, without judgment, by the King [or his father: the petition is damaged]. They request a remedy.

[On face] A writ is to be sent to the Justiciar to inquire into the truth and to inform the King.[None on dorse].
Note
Dated by Petitions Relating to Wales p.132 to '?Temp. Ed. III', on the basis of a mention in CFR 1327-37 p.433, dated 23 February 1335, of a Ieuan ap Madoc, who has forfeited lands in North Wales. This petition is therefore dated to '? c. 1335'. However, as Petitions Relating to Wales p.132 admits, it is hard to distinguish between people with the same name.
