Nature of request
The Earl of Cornwall requests delivery of the manor of Bozeat in Northamptonshire, which belonged to Robert de Twenge who died before the feast of St John, whereas the King gave the lands to John de Hastinges on the Monday after the quinzaine of St John, when it was decided by the council that all issues of the lands of John de Hastinges in the hand of the Earl were to remain to him until that day. John is wrongfully withholding the manor from him.He also requests corn sown at Birdingbury, wrongly harvested and taken by John.
Nature of endorsement
[On dorse] There is to be an inquiry by the Escheator as to whether that manor fell in during the time of the Earl or during the time of John: and if during the time of the Earl, then it is to be returned to him.[On face, to second] To the sheriff of Warwickshire.

Dated on the guard to 1275-1285, with reference to CFR 1272-1307 p.48, an order to take the manor of Bozeat into the King's hand, if Gilbert Hansard, who held it in chief, has alienated it without licence, dated 12 June 1275, and p.221, a grant of the manor, late of Robert de Tweng, to Roger de Fricurt until the majority of the heir, dated 10 October 1285.
