Nature of request
The Community of Bristol state that they have suffered badly at the hands of justices, sheriffs and bailiffs for lack of confirmation of their liberties, and that the King promised that their charters would be among the first to be confirmed when he visited the town at Easter in his eighth year. They ask the Chancellor to lend his counsel as to what is to be done in these matters.
