The community of Bristol ask the King that, if he is going to lease the town of Bristol at farm, that he might give it to them rather than to anyone else, as they are prepared to give as much as anyone else, and as an outsider will seek only for profit, but they will seek to keep the community and others coming there unharmed according to merchant law.
