Mary Assheby of Lincolnshire states that while she was promised to be married to John Thymelby, son of Thomas Thymelby of the same county, and they were in fact married by law of Holy Church, John's father, Thomas, has separated them, and is holding John prisoner in his house. She asks the lords to ask the Duke of Bedford, Guardian of England, to have Thomas summoned before the council to answer for his actions.
