- Dated on the guard to 1397, with reference to Rot. Parl. vol. III, p.448, which contains editions of three petitions ascribed to the parliament of 1399, SC 8/22/1069, 1070 and 1071: this petition, therefore, is most likely to be an earlier petition from one of the petitioners. Unfortunately, not enough of it survives to be certain which one.
