Nature of request
[This petition has been badly stained with gall, and much is illegible.]The executors of Alice, Countess of Norfolk, show that whereas Bartholomew . . . in the county of Suffolk, which was and is in the keeping of the said Countess . . . Holbrook, in which manner Batholomew had no right, but that he . . . to them of the profit, and the said manor, together with the infant and the goods and chattels . . . our lord the King. The said executors ask the King, of his grace, . . . with the goods and chattels that were in it on the day when the said manor was taken into his hand . . . infant should be delivered to them, so that the said executors and do and ordain on this . . ..
Nature of endorsement
Walter de Norwyz and Harvey de Stanton are to be appointed to inquire into the things contained in the petition, and to inform on this in Chancery; and justice is to be done there.
