The foresters of the ward of Allerdale in Inglewood forest.

Nature of request
The foresters of the ward of Allerdale in Inglewood forest state that at the last perambulation their ward was put outside the forest. They request an inquiry into how they used to receive puture in the time of Earl Waltheof and the other lords of the chase before it came into the King's hand, and for a remedy to be ordained according to that.
Nature of endorsement
They are to have a writ for the Justice of the Forest to inquire into the contents of the petition, and the inquisition is to be returned in Chancery; and what pleases the King is further to be done.

Dated to '? c. 1319' with reference to SC 8/88/4375, which mentions a petition presented to the previous parliament at York, which would seem to be this one. The parliament would then be that of May 1319.
