Nature of request
Writ from Edward II to John de Foxle, John Inge, and John de Stonnore, justices appointed to hold assizes in Devon, informing them that the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer have found evidence from the Eyre of Solomon de Roff in Devon in 9 Edward I that Lundy Island is in Hartland hundred, Devon, and asking them to proceed to hold the assize of novel disseisin between Herbert de Marisco and John de Wilynton and others concerning tenements in that island, and to do justice to the parties.
